circa 1835, with possibly re-browned 10in. octagonal damascus barrels, dove-tailed fore-sights, colour-hardened hooked breeches with scroll engraved top-flats, scroll engraved colour-hardened top-tangs, notch rear-sights, platinum plugs and coiled percussion fences, flat border-line engraved colour-hardened lockplates with panels of scrolls, sliding safes behind the scroll engraved dolphin-headed hammers, walnut half-stocks with full flat-bottomed chequered pistol-grips, initialled oval escutcheons to the wrists, blued border and scroll engraved trigger-guards, set triggers, engraved finials, white-metal fore-end cap and take-down wedge escutcheons, browned under-rib and original brass-tipped ramrods TOGETHER WITH their original mahogany travelling case compartmented and lined in burgundy velvet and containing a number of period accessories including ball mould, powder-flask, loading rods and turn-screw, much original finish throughout
