20 3/4in. nitro reproved barrel (in 2012), missing cleaning rod, carbine tangent rearsight marked for 2000 yards and with narrow slide, muzzle cap with fore-sight protector, magazine cut-off, flattened swept-forward bolt with cocking piece safety, dust cover, shortened cavalry magazine with retaining loop, butt socket marked with Crown VR, 'ENFIELD 1895. 981' and with 'D' sling loop removed (as per orders of 6th March 1896), stock with sling bar, brass marking disc stamped '7. 1897. 13. L. 399', and with brass buttplate (with trap)
