* A HADLEY, LONDON 20-BORE PERCUSSION SILVER-MOUNTED HUNTING 'FUSIL', serial no. 9988N, the mounts hallmarked for 1763 with later conversion to percussion, slightly swamped two-stage 25in. barrel with carved bands at the intersection, silver bead fore-sight applied to a silver starburst surround, triple gold lined at breech, the two side flats inlaid with six gold stars each, two further gold stars and two gold poincons inlaid to the top flat, the poincons marked 'H. HADLEY' and 'LONDON' respectively, later hooked breech, plain top-tang, curved and radiused scroll engraved lock signed 'HADLEY', engraved sliding safe behind the slab-sided hammer, walnut full-stock with floral carving around the top-tang, carved drop-points behind the lock and side-plate, large rococco escutcheon missing from the handrail wrist, silver moulded and engraved furniture including heel-plate, trigger-guard tang and bow, pierced rococco sideplate, fore-end joining plates and ramrod thimbles, complete with a horn-tipped wooden ramrod
