A SUBSTANTIAL 8-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED WILDFOWLING GUN, serial no. 2181,
circa 1840, with 42in. twist barrels (darkly stained), the flat, broad top-rib signed 'BAKER, LONDON', the broad plain borderline engraved top-tang engraved with an 'FTB' monogram trademark and the serial number, borderline engraved bar-action locks signed 'BAKER, LONDON' (strong traces of colour), slab-sided hammers, chequered walnut half-stock, plain iron furniture, white metal oval escutcheon to underside of butt and original heavy-duty oak ramrod with brass fittings.
