27 7/8in. ribless nitro reproved barrels with wooden side fillets, short sight flat with fine acanthus scroll engraving, over barrel engraved 'JOSEPH LANG & SON. 7. BURY STREET. ST. JAMES'S. LONDON. ENGLAND.' under barrel with 'FOR 2 3/4 SHELL', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and imp. cyl. choke, H. White and N. Dryden patent action, patent no. 2153 of 26th January 1912, carved fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Hughes improved Lang patent non-selective single trigger, patent no. 6923 of 21st August 1901, best fine floral bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving, the underside with 'LANG'S PATENT EJECTOR' in a cartouche, brushed bright finish overall, 14in. well-figured stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 7oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case
