circa 1880, with lighter profile 18 1/2in. blued barrel marked 'VAUD', blade fore-sight, elevating rear-sight, blued receiver with bolt action, the left hand side stamped 'SOC IND SUISSE SYST VETTERLIN', load aperture on the right of the re-numbered receiver, plain walnut straight hand butt-stock, three-quarter length wood fore-end, iron furniture including spur-less trigger-guard, iron nose-cap and complete with an under-barrel cleaning rod, much original original finish throughout
