A CASED 9mm (PARA) SEMI-AUTOMATIC LIMITED EDITION PISTOL, MODEL 'P210/49 50TH ANNIVERSARY', serial no. 102,
for 1999, number 102 of an edition of 500 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Sig P49 service pistol, with 4 1/2in. barrel, sighted slide, a Swiss-Cross within a shield inlaid in gold forwards of the rear-sight, the limited edition number picked out in gilt on the right hand side, blued frame, the guide rails engraved with gilded leaves and berries, the limited edition number repeated on the right hand side, grooved walnut grips with large medallions inlet at heel, the right bearing a Swiss-Cross, the left with a raised '50', the whole appearing unfired; TOGETHER WITH its manufacturers presentation wood two-tiered case, the top hinged tier lined in a blue with gold braid trim similar to a Swiss police-officer's uniform together with a gilt '5' and '0', the corners bearing Swiss police shoulder pips, a central compartment with the limited edition handbook and separated from the lower tray by a hinged glass panel, in turn protected by a print on card of Swiss soldiers in camouflage uniform operating in the field, the lower tray lined in a similar fashion to the upper but containing the pistol and fitted with a pierced and gilded silhouette of a Swiss police officer wielding a P49 pistol, his out-stretched arm above a rectangular panel with carved leaf and berry borders, the centre reading '9MM PIST. 49'.
