AN ENGLISH SILVER-HILTED SMALL-SWORD,
circa 1760, with straight single-edged 32 1/2in. blade fullered on both sides for its full length, finely chased and pierced heart-shaped symmetrical guard, carved 'D' shaped knuckle-bow (illegible hallmarks) with carved bulbous -tipped quillions and small pas-de-ane, pierced bulbous pommel and grip formed from strip silver interspersed with plaited silver-wire (blade with surface corrosion, finish tarnished)
