AMSTERDAM' and gold-inlaid '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 and full choke, self-opening action, removable striker discs, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, replacement triggerguard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving (some losses), brushed bright and blued finish, 14 1/4in. figured replacement stock (cast on for a left-hander), weight 6lb. 10oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1926 for F. Horstmann as No.1 of a pair, with a single trigger.
