BEST LAMINATED STEEL', silver fore-sight bead and ivory centre-bead, engraved borders and twin gold lines to the colour-hardened breech-block, moulded fences with platinum vented plugs, border engraved colour-hardened top-tang with engraved screws, colour-hardened border engraved bar-action locks signed 'WILLIAM MOORE, MAKER', border engraved hammers with carved peaks and chequered spurs, chequered walnut half-stock, colour-hardened border-engraved iron heel-plate, colour-hardened serial numbered trigger-guard bow, the lower tang signed 'IMPORTED BY HENRY TOMES, NEW-YORK', twin barrel keys with engraved oval escutcheons and brass-mounted wood ramrod, the whole retaining much original colour and finish throughout
