circa 1910, with blind fluted blued octagonal 33 1/2in. barrel, micro-adjustable block and blade fore-sight on a dove-tailed ramp, micro adjustable rear-sight sliding on a dove-tail, plain colour-hardened slab-sided receiver signed on the right 'CHARLES HEER, VEVEY', colour-hardened dropping 'Martini' style loading ramp (action at fault), walnut Swiss-style butt with raised cheek piece and exaggerated hooked butt-plate, complex trigger-guard bow with finger spurs and rests acting as the cocking lever, double set triggers, walnut schnabel fore-end and provision for sling, the whole retaining much factory finish
