circa 1770, with slightly swamped 40 1/4in. iron barrel (some mild external pitting), engraved short sighting rib with tear-drop terminal to breech, shallow notch to the top-tang, slightly curved borderline engraved bevel-edged lockplate with stepped pointed tail, walnut handrail full-stock with carved apron and shell design behind top-tang, brass oval escutcheon to wrist, brass heel-plate with stepped spur, flat top to comb, brass trigger-guard with acorn finial, solid sideplate with engraved border and replacement ramrod
