for 1855, with octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON', plain cylinder with roll engraved naval scene, plain iron open frame signed 'COLT'S PATENT', smooth walnut one-piece grip, silver-plated grip-straps and trigger-guard, articulated under-barrel rammer, traces of finish; COMPLETE WITH its original storage case, parchment instruction label to inside of lid, compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a number of associated accessories including wood handled cleaning rod, iron double-cavity bullet mould, 'L' shaped nipple-key, oil bottle powder flask and an unopened tin of Eley caps especially for Colt's pistols
