circa 1810, with re-browned 31 1/2in. barrels, the top of the left barrel signed in gold 'BOUTET', the right 'A' VERSAILLES', long silver bead fore-sight set on a gold ground, the top-rib at breech-end inlaid in gold with the serial number, three gold lines at breech, plain top-tang with 'eared' sighting groove, plain flat locks signed 'BOUTET' with the pointed tails curving in at the tips, gold lined pans, rollers to the frizzen-springs, walnut semi pistol-gripped half-stock chequered at the wrist (small inlet repairs behind locks), applied leather pad to the raised cheek-piece, shaped iron heel-plate, pillar-fronted trigger-guard bow and turned ramrod thimbles, ramrod replaced, the whole re-finished
