G.Vincent Fosbery V.C. patent rifled chokes, patent no. 7568 of 1885, treble-grip action with protruding crossbolt, elongated top strap, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, back action sidelocks with gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, chequered front trigger, beaded border and bold acanthus scrollwork with strapwork detailing, the underside engraved 'CHARGE 8 DRAMS 2 7/8 BRASS CASE', brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14in. figured stock with cheekpiece and low rounded comb, including 1in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 12lb. 15oz.
