for 1991, 27in. nitro chopperlump barrels with tapered raised ventilated file cut top-ribs, gold-inlaid at the breech ends '1' and '2', side ribs, the over barrels engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. LONDON. ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, multichokes (with spares), hold-open toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', short side bolsters, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, non-selective single triggers, rolled-edge triggerguards, the action bodies and furniture carved in high relief with bold stylised foliage and leaf motifs on a finely matted background, the undersides with central scrolling banners engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS', the lockplates finely engraved with scenes of game birds in their natural settings, No.1 gun with pheasant on the left and red grouse on the right, the No.2 gun with French partridge on the left and duck on the right, each scene signed 'P. COGGAN', the triggerguard tangs gold-inlaid with the serial numbers, 14 3/4in. highly-figured replacement pistolgrip stocks (by the makers in 2019) with engraved steel pistolgrip-caps, weight 6lb. 11oz., in their brass-cornered oak and leather case with complement of accessories and a canvas and leather outer cover
