circa 1893, with 26in. blued barrel marked 'STEPHEN GRANT & SONS 67A St JAMES' STREET, LONDON', ramp-mounted fore-sight, standing 'V' notch rear-sight with two additional folding leaves, barrel additionally numbered 'B4742', receiver ring marked 'Md. 1892', left side of action marked 'STEYR 1893', turned down bolt with flag safe, chequered walnut pistolgrip half-stock, magazine housing numbered 'B4492', in its retailer's brass-cornered leather full-length guncase with Stephen Grant trade label, lined and compartmented in red baize, the lid exterior marked 'HON G.B.' (case worn with losses)
