serial number on barrel loop only, 28 1/8in. nitro reproved barrels, rib engraved 'WOODWARD. PALACE PLACE. LONDON.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, rebounding sidelocks, border and scroll engraving, 14 5/8in. figured stock including 5/8in. ebonite extension, weight 5lb. 12oz.
Other Notes: Birmingham gunmakers B. Woodward & Sons briefly held a London address at Palace Place in the early 1880's until their closure in 1883
