26in. nitro barrels, ribs engraved '1' and '2' at the breech ends (No.1 gold-inlaid), tubes engraved 'JOSEPH LANG & SON. 7, BURY STREET, ST. JAMES'S, LONDON, ENGLAND', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 (No.1) and full choke in both (No.2), scalloped-back actions with slender fences, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in cartouches to the sides and undersides, retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 15 5/8in. stock (No.1) and 16in. stock including 3/8in. wooden extension (No.2), fore-ends with Anson push rod release catches, the finials gold-inlaid '1' and '2', weight 6lb. 6oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 12oz. (No.2), in their canvas and leather motor case with gold-tooled Atkin, Grant & Lang Bury St. address trade label
