A .36 PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL '1851 NAVY', serial no. 63743,
for 1856, with octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY', articulated under-barrel rammer, open iron frame stamped 'COLTS PATENT U.S.', plain cylinder with traces of scene, brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, the back-strap a working replacement and numbered '145929', smooth walnut flared grips, the right hand side carved with a large letter 'H' (possibly a ranch marking), stained with some mild pitting
