A SCARCE 7mm (PINFIRE) SELF-COCKING REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'MARIETTE'S PATENT', no visible serial number,
circa 1860, with round blued 3 1/2in. barrel, the octagonal breech section signed 'MARIETTE BVT', large thumbwheel release to barrel-mount, plain blued cylinder with florally engraved band around the center and ratchet locking, vine engraved in the white open frame with full pin shield, ring trigger and spurless hammer, engraved iron grip-straps with carved flared ivory grips and much original finish throughout
