with watered 8 1/2in. re-polished blade false edged for the last 5in., short 'hi', copper 'habaki', ribbed grip with floral copper mound over the peg aperture, large applied white metal 'menuki' of a pair of rabbits, dark-wood carved scabbard with large metal mount near tip of a man restraining a horse, buffalo horn 'kurikata' and spiral carving at the throat, with side pocket for 'kozuka' (present)
