and dated for '1882', with brass tipped natural hazel shaft, 35in. overall including cranked handle (considerable signs of use, handle blackened with age) and with a gilded metal collar in the form of a buckled belt inscribed 'PRESENTED TO R. FORSYTH BY H.M. THE QUEEN, JAN 1st 1882'
