dated for 1885, with half round, half octagonal 4 3/8in. barrel marked on the top 'MLE 1874', applied fore-sight, sighting groove to the narrow top-strap, stepped and fluted cylinder, field-strippable solid frame with side loading gate, chequered walnut grips, lanyard ring at heel and plunge ejector mounted to the right hand underside of barrel, darkly stained throughout with areas of pitting,
