A .660 PERCUSSION YEOMANRY CAVALRY CARBINE MARKED TO THE N.Y.A., serial no. 43,
dated for 1844, with round 20in. browned barrel, applied shallow fore-sight blade, standing notch rear-sight, ordnance stamps at breech, solid top-tang, plain borderline engraved lock with date, Tower signature and 'V.R.' crown device, walnut full-stock, brass furniture, the heel-spur stamped 'NY' over 'A' over '43', possibly for a Yeomanry Artillery unit, long iron saddle-bar with loose ring and captive pan-headed iron swivel ramrod
