circa 1840, with re-browned 30in. damascus barrels (traces only of signature to top-rib), twin gold lines at breech, fully acanthus scroll engraved top-tang with raised sighting notch engraved with a hunting dog, border and acanthus scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'STEVENS, LONDON' (rubbed), the engraving further inhabited by gamebirds, en-suite dolphin-headed hammers, figured walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (worn smooth), iron furniture including raised scrolled lower tang and replacement iron under-barrel ramrod
