30in. lined nitro proved fine damascus barrels, rib re-engraved 'WILKINSON & SON. GUN MAKERS TO HER MAJESTY, PALL MALL. LONDON.' and '2', with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, action incorporating Charles Harvey patent retractable strikers, patent no. 1793 of 7th July 1866, use number 311, rebounding back-action locks with carved hammers, best border and bold scroll engraving (action bar with some striations), the standing breech engraved 'WILKINSON'S No.311 PATENT. 1878.', 14 5/8in. replacement stock, fore-end with grip catch release engraved '2' and 'Wilkinson's patent Lever Fore End', loss to wood at right edge, weight 7lb. 3oz., in a leather case
