A CASED 100-BORE SIX-SHOT PERCUSSION PEPPERBOX REVOLVER,
circa 1845, with re-blacked 3in. barrel group, nickel-silver action body engraved with loose scrolls and signed 'R. JACKSON, LONDON' on the left hand side, central hammer with sliding safety behind, finely chequered walnut grips, scroll engraved nickel-silver back-strap with a vacant oval for a monogram, nickel-silver butt-cap and front-strap, steel engraved trigger-guard, TOGETHER WITH its original mahogany, compartmented case, lined in red baize (faded), with a full compliment of accessories including a ball mould/loading rod (traces of colour), a pair of diminutive turn-screws, small copper-bodied powder flask with shell decoration and a tin of period 'Joyce's' percussion caps, the inner case lid bearing a hand-cut paper label for 'RICHARD JACKSON, GUN MANUFACTURER, 30 PORTMAN PLACE, EDGEWARE ROAD' and a vacant central circular brass escutcheon to the outside
