A CONTINENTAL 7mm 12-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PINFIRE REVOLVER, no visible serial number, circa 1860s, probably Spanish, with 4 3/4 in. round to octagonal sighted barrel marked 'Sme. LEFAUCHEUX', frame and cylinder with engraved scroll-work, side-mounted ejector rod, hinged loading gate, folding trigger, chequered wooden grips, worn and stained with shallow blinded pitting, loading gate button replaced by a screw, cylinder does not index correctly
