A .577/450 MARTINI-HENRY MARK IV PATTERN A SERVICE RIFLE, SIGNED ENFIELD, no visible serial number, dated 1887, 32 1/2 in. sighted barrel stamped 'NS / NEP' for Native Service, Nepal, proof-marks toward receiver, receiver with crown over 'V.R. / ENFIELD / 1887 / lock-viewer's mark / IV. / I.', walnut stock with Allalabad Arsenal roundel, dated '10 / 1908' together with Nepalese unit markings, long lever, trigger-guard with Nepalese markings, complete with sling swivels and cleaning rod, stock dark with bruising and losses to right side of fore-end along the rod groove and barrel, also where butt joins the receiver and butt-plate, 49 1/4 in. overall
