A .36 PERCUSSION SAVAGE-NORTH NAVY MODEL TRIGGER-COCKING RECIPROCATING REVOLVER, no visible serial number, circa 1863, with shortened (from the rear) 6 1/2in. octagonal barrel, bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed 'SAVAGE R.F.A. CO. MIDDLETOWN CT, H.S. NORTH PATENTED JUNE 17 1856, JANUARY 18 1859, May 15 1860' (some words faint), off-set central hammer, plain reciprocating cylinder with ratchet indexing, heavy iron frame with side-plate, smooth gumwood grips, oversized trigger-guard with single action trigger-blade and additional ring cocking trigger and hinged under-barrel rammer (mount cracked), slight traces of finish with some shallow pitting
