NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.', the underside with 'No.2 GRADE', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, wall thicknesses at 11 and 17, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving, the underside spuriously engraved 'ROYAL HAMMERLESS EJECTOR', brushed bright finish overall, 15in. stock including 1 1/2in. wooden extension with inked figuring, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release catch, weight 6lb. 3oz., in a vinyl case with Holland & Holland labels
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was finished on 11th December 1899 as a '12-bore No. 2 Model hammerless ejector' with 30in. steel barrels for 'Hall'
