A 120-BORE PERCUSSION POCKET-SIZE WEBLEY LONGSPUR REVOLVER, serial no. 254,
late first model circa 1854, with octagonal 3in. barrel, radiused muzzle, the top-flat signed 'NEEDLER, HULL', border and scroll engraved open frame with hinge and wedge barrel mount, the side plate signed 'JAMES WEBLEY PATENTEE' (a probable replacement), six-shot cylinder rotating to the left, single action mechanism, the hammer when at rest covered by frame extensions only leaving the straight spur exposed, permanently attached rammer mounted to right side of frame, serial number to the short back-strap, one-piece chequered walnut grip and domed butt-cap with central trap and small oval trigger guard, lightly cleaned of finish with shallow frosting
