A 10-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN SIGNED FORSYTH & CO, no visible serial number, first quarter of the 19th century, possibly converted from pill-lock or scent-bottle, with shortened octagonal to round 28in. barrel, engraved bevel-edged lock signed 'FORSYTH & CO., PATENT' (rubbed), unusual drum and nipple conversion through the lock-plate, dipped tail and bar, crude replacement hammer, walnut half-stock (many inlet repairs to fore-end) and iron furniture
