for 1895, with round 4 1/2in. barrel signed 'COLT'S PT. FA. MFG CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.' on two lines along the top, crescent fore-sight, top-strap with full-length sighting groove, solid frame, fluted six-shot cylinder, double action mechanism, chequered gutta-percha birdshead grips and under-barrel ejector-rod with bullseye thumb-piece, the whole with an older re-blued finish
