* A FRENCH .700 MODEL 1822 PERCUSSION PISTOL, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, circa 1840s percussion conversion from flintlock, with 7 3/4 in. sighted barrel, stamped with rack number '748' plus '1822' and other indistinct stampings, all steel heavily cleaned removing engraving, lock now devoid of any marks, brass furniture with inspection marks, stock with faint arsenal roundel and '748', stained with blinded pitting, chipped losses to brass nosecap. and rust patches, 14 in. overall
