* A .577/450 COMMERCIAL MARTINI HENRY RIFLE SIGNED WEBLEY, serial number 27285, late 19th Century, 27 1/4 in. barrel with Birmingham proof-marks and stamped '27285', falling block action, left side of receiver marked 'P. WEBLEY & SON / BIRMINGHAM' with the Webley & Scott 'winged bullet' and commercial Martini stylised 'M' over, plus retailer's name of 'A. Zierbogel & Co.' in faint gold lettering, worn, constructed using a combination of military and commercial parts, all metalwork with the exception of the receiver with deep, heavy pitting, the barrel cut down, rear sight missing ladder and with leaf-sight rusted flat, cocking lever broken in half and welded together, stock with heavy knocks and chipped losses, sporterised fore-end a poor fit and probably hand-made
