circa 1871, 92cm unsigned black powder proof replacement barrel (in 1992, originally built as a .450) with adjustable aperture fore-sight, action engraved with action use number 'PATENT No. 347', left-side non-rebounding cranked back-action lock with bolted dolphin hammer (possible replacement, repaired at nose), safety slide frozen, top tang with rearsight mount, action and furniture with bold acanthus scroll engraving with some ornate bordering, 14 1/4in. figured pistolgrip stock with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, chequered steel buttplate (with trap), sling eyes, bolstered fore-end with Henry fore-end tip and best quality key seat (key light damage and likely a substitute), weight 7lb. 2oz.
