LONDON. WINNERS AT ALL THE "FIELD" RIFLE TRIALS. LONDON 1883', 3in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, W.M. Scott and T. Baker patent action, patent no. 761 of 1878, use number 2019, Scott patent gas check system, patent no. 617 of 1882, use number 1944, engraved leaf fences, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine acanthus scroll engraving interspersed with floral motifs, the top of the standing breech with the model designation, 14 3/8in. replacement stock, triggerguard tang broken at screw, fore-end with minor losses to wood at leading edges and missing one retaining screw, weight 7lb. 3oz.
