BIRMINGHAM.', the breech ends gold-inlaid '1' and '2' and with acanthus scroll detailing, the tubes engraved 'SIR J. WHITWORTH'S. FLUID PRESSED STEEL.', the breech ends with beaded bands, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. (No.1) and 1/4 choke (No.2), treble-grip actions with carved oak leaf fences, intercepting sears, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2' within ovals, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, 14 3/4in. figured stocks including 1 1/2in. wooden extensions, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a leather double guncase, the lid exterior embossed 'LORD PELHAM'
