circa 1870, with 9 1/8in. spear-point single-edged blade, the smoothbore 4 1/4in. revolver barrel integral and moulded to the back edge, the left side of barrel throat marked 'DUMONTHIER', Liege proofs, open iron frame with plain six-shot cylinder, side load gate, spurred hammer (single action function removed) and smooth flared walnut grips
