NEW YORK.', applied crescent fore-sight, colour hardened open iron frame (traces of colour remaining), five-shot cylinder engraved with five battle-scene panels framed by scrolls and marked 'PATENTED DEC. 27 1859', ten locking notches, single-action mechanism, brass grip-straps with traces of silver plated finish and smooth flared walnut grips, fair amount of finish remaining
