dated 1906, 25 1/4in. nitro reproved barrel (in 1990), 'HV' elevating rear-sight graduated to 2000 yards and with micrometer windage adjustment and bone inserts, chequered tops to the side protectors, block and blade fore-sight, nose-cap with inwardly curving side protectors, blued receiver, magazine cut-off, bolt with sliding charger guide, oval cocking-piece, side safety, detachable box magazine, butt-stock collar marked 'E.R. under crown B.S.A. CO. 1906. SHT. L.E.I.***', the barrel nocksform and receiver ring later marked 'DP', full-length stock with front and rear long-range volley sights, plugged both sides forward of the magazine, blank brass identity disc, 13 1/8in. pull including steel buttplate with trapdoor, weight 8lb. 15oz.
