possibly European circa 1820, with curving 10 1/2in. blade (some loss to polish from sharpening), with long edge on the inner side stopping 2 1/4in. short of the guard, the outer edge approximately 4 3/4in, dual deep, broad fullers, brass cross-guard with turned back and forth small quillions, squared bone hilt with narrow straight reed to each corner, moulded brass mount at neck and moulded Tea-cosy pommel-cap, in its brass-mounted leather scabbard with frog tab
