A 100-BORE PERCUSSION MUFF-PISTOL SIGNED CLARK, CAMBRIDGE, no visible serial number, in a later jewellery box setting,
the pistol circa 1840, with blued turn-off 1 7/16in. round barrel, Birmingham proofs, squared boxlock action with border and scroll engraving, the left side signed 'CLARK, CAMBRIDGE', central dolphin headed hammer, replacement sliding safe, concealed automatic trigger, finely chequered walnut grip with swollen and gadrooned pommel and central circular white metal escutcheon, in a small mahogany two-tier casket relined in blue felt, the lower tray containing the pistol together with a reproduction flask and a Joyces cap-tin, the upper tray with a number of costume jewellery items, the outer lid with white metal stringing and mother of pearl inlays
