circa 1914, with blued 25 1/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, micro adjustable rear-sight with side protectors, slab-sided receiver with New South Wales markings and signed by the maker on the left and 'COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA' on the right, a kangaroo stamp to the receiver bridge, walnut butt-stock and full-length fore-end, single iron barrel-band and nose-cap, much original finish remaining
