PLAYFAIR -ABERDEEN 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 1773, circa 1904-25, 29in, nitro reproved barrels (in 1964), the rib engraved 'PLAYFAIR. ABERDEEN.', the breech-end with acanthus scroll detailing, the tubes with feathered banding, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety with silver-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, feathered and beaded border and bold acanthus scroll engraving, brushed bright finish, 14 1/8in. figured stock including, 1 1/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 4oz.
