A CASED 80-BORE BENTLEY-TYPE PERCUSSION REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, serial no. 14141,
circa 1856, with octagonal blued 5in. barrel, radiused muzzle, Kerr type rammer mounted to the left side, open blued iron frame, the barrel attached in pinfire fashion, plain five-shot cylinder with fenced nipples, 'L' shaped safety spring, the right side of frame marked 'PATENT 14141' within a scrolled banner, chequered walnut grips, the back-strap with spur at head and guarded self-cocking trigger, much original blued finish remaining and in a period mahogany case relined and compartmented for this revolver and complete with a reproduction mould, a period loading rod, a period oil tin and a brass snuff-box for use as a cap-box
