circa 1840, with Birmingham proved turn-off and slightly tapering 1 3/4in. barrels, squared borderline and acanthus leaf engraved central hammer actions signed on the diagonal 'HEAPS' on the left and 'HUDDERSFIELD' on the right, top-tang safes, concealed automatic triggers and finely chequered walnut bag-shaped grips with white metal caps and oval escutcheons (one escutcheon replaced)
