WILLIAM EVANS 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 17730, for 1937, 28in. nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'WILLIAM EVANS. 63 PALL MALL. ST. JAMES'S, LONDON.', and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech-end, rib loose halfway down, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, intercepting sears, bolt acanthus scroll engraving with beaded border, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. figured stock, weight 6lb. 6oz.
